Well, legally the compass has to be there too. I don't think I've ever looked at it though.

I think Winter Haven has some tailwheels with very little as far as instruments. I'm not 100% sure though. I went in the Champ once, but didn't fly it, so I didn't notice exactly what instruments it had.

We have a cub and a J5 about an hour and a half away but they only do dual even if you have 10000000 in TW.

I hate insurance companies.

Seriously though I recently flew out there and that is one of the most beautiful states I have seen from the air... it's pretty amazing

California isn't all sunshine, rainbows, solo tailwheel and girls in bikinis, unfortunately. We tend to brag it up while ignoring its faults.

But it is still a damned good place to be.
