Flight Sims

That is what is holding me back. My current specs are:

i7-5500U 2.4GHz
Geforce 840M with 2GB
8GB DDR3 L

I really don't want to spend 3 grand to use an updated program from 2004.
Well, last year I got myself a 6700k overclocked to 4.5 and a GTX970.

Mainly because I decided to go full on this hobby. It's escalated to the hobby section of my life, and I just don't want to do the number$ over all the addons I have. Nor I would tell my wife.

My sim partner here at Air beach Ball had an extremely accurate 747 on his flight sim. Even the FMC worked. Definitely a great tool.

Related, the other day in a Hong Kong market I saw flight sim 2000 for sale. Talk about going way back.

Was his first name Joe, last name began with an A?

Sorry. Had an old friend that flew for Atlas before going back to Korean Air back in the mid to early 00's. He had built a 5 screen (55 " each) B747 sim with authentic throttle quadrant, FMS, foot peddles, yoke, instrument panel...the works. Lived down the street from me near PTC and I spent a good deal of time flying it.

@ATN_Pilot may know him as he flew for AirTran before that.

He would have been there before my time. I was an ‘07 hire. Sounds like a cool setup, though!
