Air Associates recently entered into a partnership with Kansas State University Salina (K-State Salina) and Johnson County Community College of Overland Park, KS (JCCC) to allow students in the Kansas City area the opportunity to earn a bachelor of aeronautical technology – professional pilot degree while remaining in the Kansas City metropolitan area. Kansas State Salina is a major flight training university and JCCC is one of the largest junior colleges in the United States. K-State Salina will provide the core aviation classes (on-line) while JCCC will provide the general education classes (on-line or on-campus). Air Associates will provide the flight training.
We are seeking a Flight School Manager with strong flight school as well as program development skills to launch this program. In addition, the successful candidate will oversee our flight training operations located in Kansas City and St. Louis. We are a growing Part 141 school, a Cessna Pilot Center and are part of a fixed base operation that includes Part 135 and Part 91 managed aircraft operations. The position will be responsible for maintaining the schools Part 141 status (with the help of a chief flight instructor and assistant chief flight instructors), managing flight instructors, establishing and maintaining flight school standards, managing rental aircraft fleet matters and marketing the flight school.
