Flight Safety SIC program G-550

Sounds great, at least some pay vs the CAE program. Interested to hear how long it takes.

This program is perpetually looking for SIC's... Just a hunch, but I'd say that may be a very good thing.

Yea, your right it is a good thing. But I think the name of the game is to fly right seat find the right person to network with and get on with a charter operation. However, is that really obtainable with some with 300tt?

No. I'm sure there's the one in a million, but don't count on it.

if you had substantial time, it could probably lead to something via all the networking that's bound to happen, wouldn't it?
any idea on what the pay is?

Yes. This is a foot in the door of the Gulfstream world.

Pay is at the discretion of the center manager. A smaller location that I interview with told me $18k (P/T position).

You'd need 1500+ to have a shot. It could happen with less, but you'll be hoping even more than you already would be with ATP mins.

I got over ATP mins.. would be cool if it meant a foot in the door in the Gulfstream world, but I have no CFI so if it were only part-time, might not be lucrative enough, especially to live in SoCal (it's at LGB right?)

Not sure exactly where this center is but this is a defiantly a valid question to ask yourself.

They are lookin for 500-1000 total time. I was hired into the GV program. Stay a year and you will get a PIC Type. It is not unheard of for jobs in the 550 with low time. At the least you WILL get contract but make sure you are there any day you can and do any enrichment course available even on your day off. Pay is great. PM for info

I just got hired on the GIV Program in DFW. I have 3400 hours, but only 10 jet. Hopefully, this will allow me to network my way into a jet. The pay isn't great. jetx.ceo what base did you get hired in?

That's awesome! This is definitely something I am interested in and I'm from Dallas. Do you happen to know if they are looking for anymore SICs at DFW? It sure would be nice being near home instead of moving out to Long Beach...

Not sure. I just applied through the website. I checked it daily for a month and I think I was one of the first to apply to the opening.
