What are you guys charging for a flight review and a IPC? I charge 100 dollars and was told today that I am undercharging people. I don't think so but what do you all think?

Straight time at $40/hr. If you're proficient, $80. If not, it could be a lot more.

Thats the thing about IPC's they rarely are proficient, or they wouldn't need the IPC, BFR's can be pretty quick, but yeah just charge the hourly rate and let it fall where it may.

Believe it or not, I have a couple guys who get the IPC whether they need it or not. It's usually a pleasant flight, and I have to really nit pick to find anything to recommend they improve.

IPC and FR (NOT BFR's DANGIT!) all get charged $55 an hour. I have a few "lucky" people who either get $30 an hour, or free. It depends on who they are and what they have done for me.

"No, it's o.k., answer that phone call, it doesn't bother me at all." But the meter is running while you sit there and talk.

The way I work it, we started at x o'clock, and finished at x o'clock. So that'll be x-hours at $55 an hour (less if your special).

Sounds good.

The shenanigans I've heard from other CFIs about people they signed off anyway.... *shudders*

Yeah I know someone whose insurance requires him to do an IPC I think it is every year.
