Boeing Company Seattle, Washington:<BR />Seattle,Washington,United States ABNJP5 <p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px">This position is based in Shanghai China to interface with customer airlines and the Civil Aviation Authority of China (CAAC) in support of Boeing&#8217;s business growth in this rapidly expanding region. This is not considered a flying position, but opportunities to fly may arise and will be considered if appropriate. </p><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px"></p><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px">**This position is a Long Term Assignment to Shanghai, China for up to 3 years. Relocation/ assignment benefits to international location will be provided.** </p><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px"><br />The job will primarily interface with senior flight operations executives, airline management, and regulatory authorities to help ensure Boeing best practices are understood and followed. Candidates should have experience flying Boeing aircraft, be conversant in modern flight deck technologies (IAN, RNP, GLS, etc.) and be able to communicate this knowledge in a clear and concise manner. A thorough understanding of aircraft operations with regard to take-off and landing performance scenarios is required. Experience instructing is beneficial.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px"><br />This position entails being a member of a multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary team supporting Boeing products. An ability to prepare aircraft technical presentations and present them to an audience is required. With an extremely dynamic work environment, travel is required and can come at short notice. Flexibility and an ability to determine priorities are critical. As a liaison between the airlines and Boeing, regular progress reports are necessary to keep all business disciplines informed. Strong computer skills are necessary as most communications will be electronic. </p><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px"></p><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px">Some of the day to day responsibilities may include:</p><ul><li>Provides flight operations, safety and technical support to Boeing internal and external customers at multiple levels. </li><li>Performs activities to support flight crew training, standardization, and flight procedures/operational techniques.</li><li>Represents Boeing as a technical lead by authoring and presenting professional papers at safety and flight operational forums.</li><li>Provides information and specialist technical services to Company and customer flight crews to enhance flight operation efficiency.</li><li>Serves as a consultant to senior management and other industry professionals.</li><li>Observes customer operations and reviews recommendations on flight operations and procedures</li><li>Provide technical information to clarify and apply Boeing flight procedures to customer operations.</li><li>Supports new aircraft and system development and certification efforts.</li><li>Assists in development and application of company safety initiatives, strategies&nbsp;that are used in support of continuous accident reduction.&nbsp; </li></ul><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px">Boeing is the world’s largest aerospace company and leading manufacturer of commercial airplanes and defense, space and security systems. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px"></p><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px">Requirements:</p><ul><li>FAA or foreign equivalent type rating on Boeing aircraft</li><li>ATP or foreign equivalent</li><li>Candidate must be able to meet the cultural requirements of the <br />country, as applicable.</li><li>Employment is contingent on the candidate&#8217;s ability to satisfy all labor and immigration formalities of the country.</li><li>Because the candidate may be placed on an international assignment, the offer is contingent upon the candidate&#8217;s ability to obtain clearances from International Health Services and the receipt of a visa/work permit to the country in which he or she will be assigned. These clearances are also contingencies for any family members who may be relocating with the candidate. </li></ul><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px">Preferred Qualifications: </p><ul><li>3,000 hours flying experience.
