Today the corporate headquarters that oversees the worldwide operation is located at the San Marcos Municipal Airport (KHYI) 1807 Airport Drive San Marcos, TX 78666.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><strong>Mission Statement: </strong><br /><div>’To continuously raise the bar for safety and customer satisfaction while demonstrating an uncommon ability to execute under the most challenging circumstances and the most difficult client requirements’.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><strong>Summary of Position:</strong><br /><div>The FOM is the &#8220;thought leader&#8221; and innovator for continuous improvement of the company&#8217;s dispatch function. Responsible for daily oversight and for the performance of individual aircraft dispatchers to ensure safe, cost effective, and reliable operations in accordance with established company policies, FAA Regulations and Berry Aviation Inc. expectations. Oversees and coordinates the provisioning of the aircraft fleet. &nbsp;The Flight Operations Manager shall also maintain currency and proficiency as an authorized Aircraft Dispatcher, instructor, and evaluator in accordance with the company&#8217;s Aircraft Dispatcher Training Program.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong><br /><ul><li>Maintains a thorough understanding of the operation with an emphasis on operational control standards and flight locating/flight following.</li><li>Maintains currency and proficiency as a company Aircraft Dispatcher, instructor, and evaluator</li><li>Exercises supervisory control over all interviewing, hiring, counseling, and termination of aircraft dispatchers</li><li>Continuously maintains adequate documentation of dispatch functional processes and procedures to ensure uninterrupted functioning and to foster consistent results.</li><li>Assists the Director of Operations in the formulation and documentation of flight operational control policies, procedures, and processes</li><li>Ensures all Aircraft Dispatchers remain proficient, and demonstrate compliance, with company operational control and aircraft dispatcher policies and procedures</li><li>Ensures proper provisioning of all aircraft in the fleet to include: aircraft databases, performance data, company forms and manuals, Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) devices and applications, and all other aircraft inventory items</li><li>Participates in the development of new flight operations programs and air carrier certification projects</li><li>Conducts research and development of policies and procedures for compliance with new FAA and industry requirements</li><li>Conducts internal audits and, when audit findings arise, performs root cause analysis and designs, documents, and implements comprehensive fixes</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong><br />(Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Licenses &amp; Certifications)<br /><ul><li>Must possess a thorough knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs)Must have at least 3 years international flight planning experience.</li><li>Must have demonstrated leadership abilities, interpersonal skills and professional demeanor</li><li>Must be a thought leader with excellent critical thinking skills, strong initiative, and high attention to detail.</li><li>Must possess a valid U.S. Passport and the ability to travel unrestricted</li><li>Must be able to obtain a U.S. Govt. security clearance</li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong><br /><ul><li>FAA Licensed Dispatcher</li><li>Possess 3 to 5 years of international trip planning and coordination experience</li><li>Previous experience as an Aircraft Dispatcher or related air carrier management experience</li><li>Previous instructor and evaluator experience</li><li>Knowledge and experience with CRM, risk management, aviation safety programs, and development of standard operating procedures</li><li>Ability to travel internationally and conduct oversight activities if needed</li><li>Ability to be available to work or be on call beyond normal office hours</li></ul><strong>Physical or Environmental Requirements:</strong><br /><div><ul><li>Office environment requiring the ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time</li><li>Participation in physical lifting, pushing, and pulling activities is left to personal discretion, but is not required</li></ul></div>
