Position Purpose:
Note: This position description addresses two separate Flight Operations Dispatcher II roles Demonstration or Test. Some duties, responsibilities and requirements are identical others are different. The differences are defined by using either the term Demonstration or Test for the affected duties, responsibilities or requirements. Demonstration: Under minimal supervision, dispatch and schedule corporate aircraft and flight crew to effectively meet company goals. Serve as the central point of contact for flight operations, coordinating communication between Sales and Marketing, service centers, corporate offices, customers, flight crew, accounting, and maintenance departments.Test: Under minimal supervision, dispatch and schedule flight operations experimental, initial phase, final phase and service center aircraft and flight crew to effectively meet company goals. Serve as the central point of contact for worldwide flight test operations, coordinating communication between, initial phase, final phase, service centers, corporate offices, sales, customers, flight crew, accounting, and maintenance departments.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:


Essential Functions:
1) Dispatches aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations and company defined policies - (Demonstration: For the purpose of sales demonstration, corporate transportation, and product support. Test: For the purpose of experimental flight test, production and completion flight test, and product support.)

2) Schedules aircraft, flight crew, and maintenance to build the most efficient flight schedule possible while determining the technical and logistical feasibility of each request.

3) Manages all aspects of international trip planning and logistical arrangements for aircraft and flight crew.

4) Develops and maintains working relationships with an assortment of internal and external customers.

5) Calculates various flight factors such as weather, runway performance, airport curfews, weight and balance issues, distance, and fuel needs to create and/or update flight plans.

6) Plans and coordinates the use of contract services (i.e., contract crews, charter aircraft) to meet corporate requirements.

7) Monitors the progress of dispatched aircraft advising management of significant issues or flight delays.

8) Assists in mentoring and provides training for less experienced Dispatchers. Demonstration:1) Assists in providing on-site logistical support at international airshows.

Additional Functions:
Demonstration and Test:1) Maintains advanced knowledge of aircraft performance, company operations manual, and federal aviation regulations.

2) Provides exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.

3) Participates in on-call duties as required covering flight operations needs during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

4) Central point of contact for hurricane evacuation of all Gulfstream aircraft at any Gulfstream facility.

5) Performs other duties as assigned.Test:1) Liaison with Gulfstream customers to obtain particular country validations required in order to conduct test pilots on foreign registered aircraft.

2) Manage and maintain pilot training qualifications throughout the test pilot staff.

3) Coordinate all FSI training events for pilot initial and recurrent aircraft and ground schools.

4) Provide flight and crew data analysis of flight operations test department.

5) Develop and provide workload briefing to department leadership.

Other Requirements:
1) Advanced knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations related to Part 91 Operations.

2) Advanced understanding of aircraft systems, performance and weight and balance.

3) Strong problem solving skills and demonstrated diplomacy in dealing with difficult situations.

4) Exceptionally strong computer skills with emphasis on MSWord, Excel, and PowerPoint.Test:1) Licensed Flight Aircraft Dispatcher desired but not required.

Unique Skills:
Previous FOS experience required.

Experience/Education:
- Associates degree, preferably in aviation, or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job is required.

- Advanced experience with aircraft scheduling and flight planning software.
- Prior experience in a military or civilian flight operations.
