Flight Management major

Hey all, I'm signed into my girlfriend's account because I don't have one yet. But I have a question regarding my education. Currently at Parks I am a double major: Flight Management and Flight Science and double minor: ATC and CFI.

If I stay on this track I will graduate 1 semester after my peers. They will be instructing, building hours, and I think I’ll fall behind, which isn’t the best in this industry. I spoke with my advisor and he told me I should continue on this course and in my second semester senior year decide then if I should finish or drop the Flight Management major. Another option is to drop Flight Management, graduate in four years and while I’m instructing complete an MBA.

Any advice on what I should do?

You shouldn't feel like you fall behind just because your friends finish before you just because you decided to take on a higher workload. One semester is nothing and just because you don't finish school does not mean you can't be an instructor. I know someone at parks who is currently a Freshman going to sophomore and is an instructor there majoring in business. If you have the certificate you can apply to be an instructor at parks or in the other flight schools that are either in st. louis downtown or at a local field.
