As a SkyWest dispatcher you will receive industry-leading training in all aspects of flight planning and flight following, ensuring that all flights are planned safely, efficiently, and in compliance. If you enjoy an environment of camaraderie focused on excellence, this is the job for you. </span></p><ul><li><span>Responsible for all aspects of preflight planning, including route analysis, route building, hazardous weather avoidance, field conditions, fuel planning, alternate selection, and performance planning.</span></li><li><span>Responsible for issuing a dispatch or flight release for all assigned Company flights.</span></li><li><span>Responsible for flight delay and cancelation.</span></li><li><span>Responsible for flight following, including monitoring the progress of each flight, issuing information necessary to the safety of flight (changes related to weather, NOTAMs, air traffic), and canceling or re-dispatching when, in the opinion of the dispatcher or Pilot-in-Command, the flight is unable to operate or continue to operate safely.</span></li><li><span>Must remain continually aware of the airworthiness and readiness status of all assigned aircraft.</span></li><li><span>Must maintain situational awareness of weather, NOTAMs, instrument approach procedures, air traffic initiatives, and the current state of the national airspace system.</span></li><li><span>Must be highly knowledgeable of FARs, NTSB, Hazardous Materials, and Company manuals</span></li><li><span>Complete any other duties as assigned by supervisor.</span></li></ul> <br><Strong>
