Nicholas Air Oxford, Mississippi:<BR /><u><strong>Hours</strong></u><br /><div>This position is required to work days, nights &amp; weekends on a&nbsp;rotating schedule.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div></div><div><u><strong>Position Overview</strong></u><br />This position will be responsible for flight following,&nbsp;including the preflight planning and the dispatch release of flights. &nbsp;Other responsibilities include monitoring the&nbsp;progress of flights, issuing necessary information for the safety of the&nbsp;flight, and cancelling or re-dispatching the flight if it cannot safely&nbsp;continue as planned or released. &nbsp;This position&nbsp;works closely with all Crew Members, Pilot Schedulers, and other company&nbsp;departments to ensure the safe, on-time completion of all flights.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><u><strong>Duties &amp; Responsibilities</strong></u></div><div><ul><li>Conduct pre-flight briefings with&nbsp;the PIC regarding departure, arrival, and enroot weather (&amp; NOTAMS &amp;&nbsp;SIGMETS). Also review aircraft weight, fuel, and cargo loads with the PIC.</li><li>Dispatch release of all flights.</li><li>Run performance and feasibility numbers for future trips.</li><li>Willing to work a rotating AM/PM schedule. Will be required to work holidays and weekends as the schedule requires.</li><li>Ensure part 91 and 135 regulations are followed.</li><li>Ensure that the aircraft meets the performance capabilities of the trips assigned</li><li>Understanding of airline routes and landing characteristics of company aircraft. &nbsp;</li><li>Escalate any flight safety concerns to Management and make necessary recommendations</li><li>Manage difficult or emotional crew member situations with courtesy and sensitivity<br /></li></ul><div><u><strong>Required Skills</strong></u><br /><ul><li>Demonstrate aptitude in crewmember flight, duty and rest regulations and planning</li><li>Excellent oral/written communication and problem resolution skills are required to keep Crew Members well informed</li><li>High-level computer experience to be used in Scheduling System and Flight Planning</li><li>Communicating with Crew Members in a fast paced and often rapidly changing environment</li><li>Experience with a 24/7 on-call rotation preferred</li><li>Exhibit good learning and comprehension</li><li>Detail oriented mind-set a must</li><li>Hands-on, high energy approach essential</li></ul></div></div>
