Hello, I just have some questions about the aviation field in flight dispatching.
1. How easy or difficult is it to find a dispatch job after you get your Flight Dispatch certificate? Are the jobs plentiful compared to airline pilots and A&P mechanics?
2. What are some areas in aviation where you can do dispatch in? Airlines, Corporate, etc.?
3. After reading some threads here, it seems that you can do on-the-job-training (OJT) while you earn your dispatch certificate. Is that really true or do you need to go to dispatch school before you even work for an airline dispatch? If so, would the airlines be willing to hire me with no experience if I learn on the job?
4. What is the starting salary for dispatchers?
5. Is it possible to advance in this career or is it a dead-end career?
That's all the questions I have for now. If someone knows about this career track, please reply to my questions. Thanks!
