Flight dispatch and ADHD Medication

Is there any issue with taking Vyvanse and getting a dispatch job? I’ve heard the answer is no multiple times, but figured I’d confirm that as long as I report it to the medical officer or whoever calls if I pop that it’s fine.
 
Not sure from the dispatch side, but it is listed as a no-go medication for airmen in the AOPA medications database.

There are no restrictions associated with that medication and dispatch. As a medical is not required for dispatch, you shouldn't have any interactions with an AME for the purpose of the job. Further, as with any other employer, you are not obligated to divulge your medical information to Human Resources. The only entity that you would have contact with that should know your medication status would be the DOT examiner who would conduct your drug tests.
 
Since dispatch is considered a "safety sensitive", it would make sense to inquire with your company personnel about what medication could affect that aspect. Also remember, that even though we do not have a medical, we are considered a crew member.

If you are being prescribed new medication, again ask the doctor how that would affect a "crew member" and what other alternatives are available
