WHAT THE... No, it's okay. You just have no credibility when it comes to music criticism anymore. Apparently you're just a sucker for pop music.

Metal is a complex genre that often suffers under the stigma of the glam bands like Poison, Ratt, and yes, I'm sorry to say, but those posers in Motley Crue.

Now, Iron Maiden might come off as kitschy on the surface, but they are widely regarded as one of the greatest metal bands because of their musical talent and their (often) lyrical depth. Also, Dickinson has some impressive pipes. <--- not a gay joke.

Ozzy, on the other hand, was part of a great pioneering metal effort with Black Sabbath but his solo career in the 80s didn't really produce anything of substance... just like all of those pop bands you mentioned.
