FLiCA/CrewTrac On Mobile Device

I just don't get why FLICA charges more for that stuff. Sabre has to already be getting a huge chunk of change from the airline for the software so why leave out such a simple feature? Everyone has mobile phones now so just add the price to the package and sell it all as one.

If you've ever had to work with Sabre, you would understand, they nickel and dime everything. Their programming costs for the Age 65 change back in 2007/08 were charged by how many keystrokes of programming it took to update your system. FLICA was a much better operation before they got taken over by the evil overlord Sabre. I would imagine that if Flightline was still independent there would have been much faster and better app development.

FLiCA alerts are awesome for when stuff drops into open time. You can set up an alert to let you know when a trip drops in during your reserve period, and you'll get a notification on it. Then you go to where you BOOKMARKED THE FLICA PAGE IN YOUR MOBILE BROWSER (hint hint, it's free) and check the reserve grid to see how that trip lines up for you getting called. I don't worry about crew notifications as we normally get an e-mail auto sent to us when there's a schedule change with a handy "click here to notify" link. I've been on reserve for a year, and I've talked to crew services about 2-3 times.

If I'm in the air and don't have access to the internet, I've got the FLiCA app on my phone (it's an iPhone so the choices are slim, there). But for 99.9% of the stuff I need, I just use the bookmarked FLiCA page.
