The world's most exclusive provider of fractional private jets?

Haha no...

There is really nothing "exclusive" about any of them really. They all will take any and everybody who is willing to pay. It looks like FlexJet and VistaJet are in an industry war to see who will be able to dominate the world market. Flexjet is setting up it's European headquarters in Malta which is where VistaJet is headquartered. VistaJet is buying up every 135 charter company in the US that it can get it's hands on. They are both likely doing way more than they have the capacity to do at the moment. So now it's waiting to see who implodes first.

I see lots and lots of Maltese-registry jets lately at JYO - I suspect there are some tax advantages to it.

That sounds like a very Sentient plan, let’s see how that works out for them.

What reference am I missing here?
Sentient was a broker and jet card seller in the mid 00's that merged with a charter and management company called JetDirect. This wannabe colossus of 135 charter promptly foundered and collapsed during the Great Recession. I'll quote this article here,

Sentient Jet was a jet card seller and charter brokerage and JetDirect Aviation was a growing charter/management firm when the two companies merged in April 2007, adopting the name Sentient Jet Holdings. The combined companies ended up owning 13 Part 135 certificates–with 200 charter aircraft and 300 aircraft total aircraft under management–which proved too unwieldy to manage effectively. The result was that the companies split, leaving Sentient Jet with its jet card and brokerage businesses but now owned by Macquarie Global Opportunity Partners and JetDirect ceasing operations and eventually going bankrupt in April this year.

It feels like they are doing everything they can to grow fast right now. Upping pay/benefits for crews and growing the fleet fast. I am not surprised they will throw in some propaganda as well.

I also bet the loud music may not last long term without a union. Kinda sucks when benefits and pay can change on a whim.

I honestly wonder how it will look 10 years from now at FlexJet. Possibly faster depending on when the legacies and FedEx negotiate their next contracts. We are currently in a very interesting environment in the airlines.

They had a union, but let the anti union rhetoric from management get the best of them. They let selfishness leak in and totally destroyed it.
