Five by five?

I always assumed the pilot was giving his height / girth info the the controllers... trying to score a date or something.

I think someone mentioned it, but military sat sets and radios had a meter that showed strength of outoing and incoming signals. If i was "pinging" a satalite, 5x5 on the meter would be the best clarity and line of sight that could be achieved
