Five (5) Apache Helicopters Circling over PHL

The weather is kind of yucky but they look like AH-64 fully armed circling the city right now. Anybody have a Clue ??

More than likely it is the guys doing the flyover at the Army Navy game tomorrow. It wouldn't surprise me if they did a practice or at least an area fam. Not sure how you can tell they are fully armed.....think they always have the tubes on the aircraft that the Hellfires go inside.

Anything to do with Boeing Ridley Park? I understand Mesa production, but they are building some new systems for them at Ridley. I have no clue, really. Probably for the game, I guess. Would like to see them though.

Yep, I couldn't tell if the tubes were loaded... Just a few minutes ago we heard the roar of fighter jets overhead, didn't get out in time to get a visual.
Your guess of the game flyover makes sense... Thanks.

You know what is worse than when people write five (5) and capitalize random words?

When big military buffs insist on writing/speaking in acronyms and shortening words for the sake of shortening them. Seriously? Fam?

Reminds me of this classic scene from Good Morning Vietnam:

I'd say there is a difference between "military buffs" and guys using a term they use every day. And fam isn't limited to military. I had a dispatcher on my jumpseat the other day doing a "fam flight".
