We had our first ultrasound last week, it was supposed to be our 12-week visit and our office does a u/s to do a test for something-or-other. Turns out our dates were wrong, and my due date got pushed back two weeks to March 18th. So we have to go back in a couple weeks to re-do the ultrasound, but we did get a picture of our little 'bean'!

Congratulations Amber! Have you considered getting one of those 4-D ultrasounds?

notice amber's bean has a smaller mellon than r2f's bean! heh heh heh /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cwm27.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yeah....Amber's bean isn't as old as my bean was when he had his first photo = the now infamouse "Melon shot". /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Amber... whaddya say? We measure the kids melons at birth? Biggest one wins? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I smell VICTORY!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Congratulatons on your second Amber! As my parents, and other parents I know say: "Time goes by so fast sooner or later you wont be able to carry them anymore, enjoy the moments you have with them."

That would be one contest I'd be happy to lose!

Smaller melon = Easier delivery!

Two words:

1. C
2. Section!

Oh no! Do not wish a c-section on her! I think a lot of people don't realize how serious of a surgery it is! Don't worry-my 100 pound SIL has delivered 9 pound babies so I am sure your wife can handle a big meloned baby! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

ditto on that! that's a serious surgery!! and it'd be 3 weeks (maybe) that you'd have to take care of her & baby before she's completely back on her feet running mock speed...

Eh. It's done thousands of times every day. No worries.

Plus, SHE is the one who is big on the C-section. I'm down with whatever she wants. I'm a good husband like that. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

She's carrying the little critter. She wants to go C-section - by God we'll go C-section.

She wants au-naturale: by God we'll get the best damned epidural money can buy and let the big-meloned little sucker squirt right on out of there. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I know where to pick my battles. This ain't one of them. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Now THAT's a husband!

Stand by your wife, Stan! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

She says she WANTS one? I am all for you supporting HER 100%--but if she is saying she wants one I would certainly encourage some research!!

My wife is opting for the no C-section, LOTS of pain killer route. I think I might have to grab some for myself for the first contractions, though......

Ummm... Michelle... she's worked in the medical field for over 10 years. She's done her research.

Regardless of what horror stories you've heard, C-sections are both safe and viable options to natural childbirth. We have absolutely no worries if we decide to go that route.

But - and I mean this honestly - thank you for your concern! I appreciate it!

I'm sorry-I forgot about her backround, didn't mean to offend you. I also did not mean to imply they were not safe in any way--I am not concerned about the safety-I just don't want to have the extra healing time and extra pain and extra scars and stuff, that's all. It had nothing to do with horror stories cause I have heard more horror stories from the other end.

Aw-hey- no offense taken. Really.

It's cool and like I said - I really do appreciate your concern. A bunch!
