After repeated delays caused by scheduling and weather... the day finally came. I took that airplane off the ground, flew it around the pattern, and even landed without bending any metal... ;) I was very calm throughout the entire process... the adrenaline came a few minutes later, filling out the paperwork in the office.

And, yeah, I know it's only for lowly ASEL Private Pilot and all that and people on here tend to have about a bajillion hours in shiny jets, but for me, this is a pretty big deal. So there. :D

We all had to start somewhere and we're definitely not sky gods!

Congrats. It gets better. You will take off just at sunrise one day or land right before sunset and appreciate the freedom of flight.

Yes, it is! Thanks, all. Nice to know my little baby achievements are still legit in the land of 10,000hr TPIC and cake ;)

You're not a lowly ASEL pilot.

You're a (student) pilot. Period. You've earned that. Nothing lowly about it.
 
That's awesome! Cherish that primary training as much as you can, there's nothing so satisfying as those first few steps into a much larger world!
