First Paycheck as CFI.

I will be getting my first paycheck as a CFI on Friday and all I have to say is "I'm rich beyatch!"

After 40.4 hrs of work I made a grand total of *drum roll please* five hundred sixty five dollars and sixty cents..... A warm welcome to the world of being an impoverished CFI. I am going to try to double that for the next pay period.
 
sweet deal.

I had a friend that only logged .5 ground or something like that for his first paycheck and when he got it, he just framed the thing instead of cashing it. Trouble was I think the frame cost more than the check was worth. Something like 3 dollars.

Nope it was two weeks. I didn't get any students until towards the middle and end of the first week. But the next check should be a lot fatter than this one.
 
Dude, I wish I was getting that for two weeks of work. That's what I get for doing what I went to college to do.

No doubt. I made more money working part time in college than I did as a full time CFI!

Sadly this is what I went to college to do also. The secretary just caught a few errors. I actually made Six hundred eight dollars and fifty eight cents.

And about 46 hours worth of work.
 
Enjoy the paycheck while you can! It won't be long until GIA and others will be offering a great program where you can gain valuable PIC time in a 172 as an instructor...all for the low, low price of $45,000.
 
My first paycheck (for a two week pay period) as a CFI was $13.50 -- it was for a staff meeting.

I workk part time in a Party store and I makemore than most of you. Something like $250-300 a week. I work 4-9 everyday.

Well, thats the life of a flight instructor. This is what you have to look forward to. Next weeks check should be a lot better.
