I had my first airline interview last Friday with Republic. I feel good about the interview and should hear back in the next day or two.
This journey has been 10 years in the making for me. I started my private pilot in 2008, finished in 2010. Left the Marine Corps in December of 2012 and earned the rest of my certificates. Commercial multi and single, CFI, CFII, and MEI. Did flight instruction and went to college full time until the fall of 2015. Ran out of money and took a law enforcement job. Got the offer for the job I have now out of the blue on the way home from a grave yard shift. Now I have been flying a 421 all over the PNW for the last 2 1/2 years.
It seems so surreal that I might be at a place where I have a shot at my first airline job. I am excited and nervous at the same time. It's been a long road for me.
