First Helicopter Ride

i did an intro Flight today , it was a 1.1 hour long flight , over long island , we did steep approaches , maximum performance take off , and scrapped the runway at Brookhaven ( whatever that landing is called )
Honestly, i was super impressed ,I'm midway through my instrument rating at the nexdoor fix wing flight school and I'm seriously thinking about moving all my resources to Rotorcraft training ,
i wish i didn't fly today LoL

First off I'm sorry to hear about your mental condition. Anyone who enjoys flying a helicopter is either insane, or like me, too dumb to know any better. Either way welcome to the community. What were you flying?
Lmao , i seriously enjoyed the ride , it was an R22 , the Cyclic is a bit weird , and needs a lot of getting used to , to maintain level flight ,
we were flying at 500/700 the whole time , is this the usual ALT for training ?
Thanks Mike , that was indeed a Run on Landing , i believe we also did a Run on Take off and i almost thought we were going to Tip over LoL.

I don't even want to think of how much you dropped for the 1.1 you had plus instruction in NYC.

You are officially weird

That, my friend, is BS. It's 2016 for Buddha's sake.....

Not uncommon for smaller places. Giving 3-5% to the credit card processor is a tough pill to swallow for some. For others its a way to avoid taxes. And if its to avoid other taxes, what else are they trying to avoid paying for?

Oh, I get that, but it's the cost of doing business. Square charges less than that - at least, I think they do. Some of the CFIs I know charge slightly more if you want to pay with a CC, which is perfectly acceptable. If I can afford flight instruction and aircraft rental, I can damn sure afford the premium for the convenience of paying with a card. People just don't carry much cash anymore.

The only issue is deep in the CC processor agreement, companies are barred from passing on those fees as discrete charges and can lose their processor if someone chose to complain.....

The way I've seen that dealt with is pretty straightforward - the business (such as an independent CFI) has one rate sheet for clients paying by check or cash, and another for paying by debit/credit.

I don't know if that violates the agreement or not, but that is how I've seen this stuff done.

Yep, have to quote it as cash discount, not CC surcharge. 10 sates further outlaw any CC surcharges.

What's funny is the Robbie is very fuel efficient compared to other birds. My Schweitzer lessons are 420/hr. Thank God they except my GI bill...
