I am selling a First Gen Stratus ADS-B Receiver. This unit is overhauled and is virtually brand new. My previous Stratus starting shutting down for no reason, so I sent it back to Sporty's. They sent me back a factory overhauled unit. Overhauled units get a new battery, new top and bottom enclosure, are loaded with the most up to date firmware and are fully tested. That is the unit I am selling. I've only used it 3 or 4 times since I got it and it works perfectly. I am also including an extra charger, which goes for $30 from Sporty's. Selling for $430 shipped.

I don't know what it costs. I sent mine back to Sporty's out of warranty, they sent it to Appareo and they gave me an overhauled unit to replace my broken unit. I will say that it was very good customer service for not just fixing my broken one, but giving me, essentially a brand new unit for free, out of warranty.

I'm dropping the price to $380 shipped. I also found a 12 volt power charger and able that does with it that I'll toss in.
 
Does the unit have to be used with an IPAD and foreflight? What actually does it provide? Is it real time weather and traffic ?
 
Yes, it must be used with an iPad and Foreflight.

It will provide NEXRAD radar, text weather (you can pull up METARs and textual weather while airborne), TFRs and GPS position to ForeFlight. It also provides some traffic, though it's generally only provided around terminal areas where there is a lot of traffic. More info can be found here: http://www.sportys.com/PilotShop/product/17165
