First flight on WN

I'll also add, before the flight might be better as well. I know if I have a commute to catch, you'll only see a blur of me leaving the flight deck after the jetbridge is attached!

There's a lot of BS in the airlines but really, letting kids come up front is probably my favorite part of the job. I got to ride up front pre-911 as a kid during a flight and that was my "This is what I want to do" moment. I'm more than happy to show off the airplane, and let them push buttons if I can!

Yeah looking at the times I would imagine they will be on a turn in MSP so I will have them ask before they leave PHX :)

Let the gate agent know right away, the crew will let her know the best time, if able. I can remember the pilots letting me come aboard when the agent opened up for special needs boarding. I had the chance to look around and ask the same stupid questions most 5 year olds would ask. Only years later, as I'm showing one of our aircraft, do I have the privilege to see the same look on a kids face that I must have had. Let them enjoy it, @azmedic my prayer is that your family never flies as a passenger in your airplane!

Well as it turns out,I've got a super tired 5 year old and the loads didn't look good combined with probable alternates for MSP due to WX I am going to just hop on the LUV train with the rest of the family. I really appreciate everyone's help and suggestions on here. The two oldest have been reassured by our youngest that everything will be "ok" and that "flying is fun" :)

Yep no problem, the kits with all the fun kid stuff aren't restocked all the time and if the plane was in MCO recently they are usually cleaned out of everything :) I'll message you when I have everything to send. How many do I need, 3 kids?

Such a cool gesture! I had no idea all the little touches to commemorate such a cool milestone existed! I am certainly more of a fan of Southwest after witnessing how everyone came together to make the flight for @azmedic and his family an experience I can't imagine they will forget. Disney isn't the only one that creates magical moments!

So after two days of picking up turns I have the "your flight certificate" bag tags and some little cardboard type cut outs of the plane. I have no wings....both planes had been stripped of them....did you get wings on your trip? If not maybe @Derg can donate (if he has some who cares if its the wrong airline they won't know) or I think @ZapBrannigan works where I do (if nothing else I will be hitting him up to see who was flying, we can see the cabin crew but not flight crew and I can write that on the cert). Other than that I don't have to be back at work until the the 8th for recurrent I can check then to get wings....
