First Flight Lesson

was totally awesome! Pretty nervous the first 15 minutes or so since it was a bit overwhelming with the scenery, gauges, and radio (was that all english? :insane:) but I started getting used to turning, climbing, and descending by the end of it so pretty glad about that. Oh it was supposed to be during daylight but a few delays and most of the flight was at night; I could barely tell where I was but those city lights were stellar :D. Well, don't know if anyone cares but thought I'd share my first experience :p

I still remember mine......few days after 9/11 after they lifted the flight restrictions. Typical overcast/stormy fall day in the PNW, was kind of hoping it would get wx cnx'd cause I was pretty nervous and wanted to study more. Anyway, ended up being really awesome....had a great instructor, and to this day, I don't know how she held back and let me fumble through my first few landings. Made it on the runway ok, but not pretty. Little did I know I'd be landing a jet on an aircraft carrier just over 8 years later. That one was much mo betta :p Enjoy your training, and know that an awesome career awaits you down the road!

Heh, don't worry about being overwhelmed. Anyone who says they weren't overwhelmed their first few lessons is just being cocky, or had years of experience at a virtual airline as they'll probably put it. Have fun!
