Financing without a cosigner?

Has anyone went to ATP and financed the entire amount without having a cosigner (PPL to ACPP)? Looks like I'm gonna have to finance without a cosigner, and was wondering if anyone else has been in the same boat as I. Going to need to finance the training amount plus some living expenses. I have really good credit, and have never had a problem getting a loan for anything, but have never financed anything close to the amount I will need. All help will be greatly appreciated.

I tried to finance with out a co-signer and well it didn't work out for me.( NOT for ATP ). try to find a co-signer cause it's gonna help you alotttttt

I got approved for $47K w/out a cosigner. However, I wouldnt try to borrow too much b/c you do know that Key Alternative Loan has a variable interest rate, very bad...This loan accrued interest during your flt training and it isnt subsidized like student loans..

Keep in mind you better able to make the monthly payment when you graduated from flight school..

Officer448, have you tried to get the loan since your last post? I am in the same boat that you are. I don't want anyone to have to take over my payments if in fact I get into a position I can't: illness, accident. I just don't think that would be right. Even though the chances are small you never know. Is there any insurance out there that would pay off you loan if you were to become seriouslly injured? I would feel a lot better if there was.

Did you go with Key or Sallie Mae?
