Well, I finally had my instrument checkride this morning! Lloyd had to fly me up to Bowling Green KY because the clouds were too low. During the oral the examiner told a story about an accident he witnessed several years ago...and got way too graphic... Then we went off to fly and an hour later we were back on the ground and I was wondering if we were done or if I was about to get a pink slip. Then he stuck out his hand and said congrats! =) WooHoo...so glad thats over!

Congrats! Let's go fly through thunderstorms! Only kidding, of course, but remember, now that you're instrument rated, the go/no go becomes a harder decision.

congrats. I just love it when the examiner makes you wait to tell you if you passed or not.

You mean you love it, in hindsight... :) While it's actually happening, you're not a big fan of that method, right? :)

Congrats Lindsey. Nothing like legally flying through clouds. And Lloyd, congrats on getting another instrument newbie through.

Congratulations...you have survived 2nd level of Lloyd's tortures. :) Now comes the hard part, keep it current. :sarcasm:

Congrats again, Lindsey.

For all of you guys that don't know, Lindsey is an excellent pilot, safe and careful. And she's made it this far along dealing with a really cynical CFI!!

Me: "Lindsey, Why in the world are we NOT flying the assigned heading?"
Lindsey: "I'm not sure . . . "
Me: "Well, you better make an answer up . . . "

I'm waiting for the day when she just knocks me out - kind of like that scene in True Lies with the car salesman doing the test drive . . . :)

Good Job!

Congrats Lindsey and Lloyd!

Loyd, it must be a really rewarding experience to have a student suceed. Good job!
