Finally!

A long time coming, and lots of slow downs along the way, but I FINALLY got 1200 hours!

Anyone know of any companies that may be hiring, or even accepting resumes? Suggestions for someone who has been aiming to enter 135 for a while now?

Same with CASW. Accepting apps, but not necessarily hiring. Airnet was recruiting at ACE, but APC still shows them as having furloughs. Also checkout Martinaire. (I think there's a couple of their pilots on here.)

I flew 135 for CASW for 2 years. I had a great time and learned a ton. Good luck.

Congrats,
I'd try AMF, though most people in my class had over 2,000 hours or nearly that with tons of twin time.
Though there was one girl in my class that only had about 1300 hours, so you never know. Throw it in there.

I know a few people that were just hired that barely met the mins.

Not trying to rain on your parade or ruin this awesome milestone but do you meet all the other requirements of 135.243(c)? Just make sure you meet all of these because not everyone hits exactly 1200 TT while meeting all the other requirements.

135.243(c) Except as provided in paragraph (a) of this section, no certificate holder may use a person, nor may any person serve, as pilot in command of an aircraft under IFR unless that person--
(1) Holds at least a commercial pilot certificate with appropriate category and class ratings and, if required, an appropriate type rating for that aircraft; and
(2) Has had at least 1,200 hours of flight time as a pilot, including 500 hours of cross country flight time, 100 hours of night flight time, and 75 hours of actual or simulated instrument time at least 50 hours of which were in actual flight; and
(3) For an airplane, holds an instrument rating or an airline transport pilot certificate with an airplane category rating; or
(4) For a helicopter, holds a helicopter instrument rating, or an airline transport pilot certificate with a category and class rating for that aircraft, not limited to VFR.

Also Ameriflight is great place to start entry level 135 freight and move on to larger equipment! Good luck!

I know what the minimums are, but your point is well taken. I'm only missing a few hours of point-to-point XC which I intend to get shortly, everything else I'm good on.

Well get those last few hours, fill out the online app for AMF, call 1-800-800-4JET and start bugging Sherri to get an interview!

I was told Martinaire is done hiring till 2011, that being said...I have also seen 10 new pilots hired since I've started working for them in Sept 2010.

Congrats!

Flight Express seems to be running a class every other month. Most of the people I know (including myself) working here are happy with the job. Just be prepared to move to any of the bases directly out of training. If you want more info just send a PM.

They have 5 pilots in new class now, everything should be full now. Do you fly with martinaire?

Key Lime is looking for Navajo Captains. I got a call to interview but took a position flying freight elsewhere.

I spoke with the super pleasant Sherri several times. It turns out I'm a few hours short on AF's requirements but she repeatedly strongly encouraged me to apply once I complete those few hours. My perception of her saying that is she anticipates a new class soon.

Used to, but moved on to a FedEx feeder.

Move out of Barons training department onto the real thing is what he meant to say lol. How are things your way Mike?

Pwa- I might be in the top 15 in seniority now I think. Fun part is it only took 10 months. lol. You know we are always hiring!

Congrats on the 1200TT! I'm pretty close to part 135 mins except for the 1200TT, just 90 short. Keeping an eye on this thread

Best of luck with the job search!

FLX always seems to have a trickle of hiring, even in bad times. No twins until you're old and gray, let alone turbines, but good place to work and it'll get your feet wet. Had some of the best times of my life working there. www.flightexpress.com
