I have been waiting to fly this 320 ever since my mom sent me a picture of my dad in front of a similar livery back in the early sixties. Today it finally happened. IAD-MEX.

Very cool! Of the UAL retro liveries this one is my favorite, the Continental looks meh on whatever model of 73SuperXLER version it is.

Should paint the whole fleet in these colors again. Very classy. And the CAL colors will just never look right to me with the UAL name.

Agreed 100%. But that was the livery that I grew up on all the way up until the UAL/CAL merger in 2008/2009 (?)

They did a really nice job with that, even down to the "natural finish" paint on the belly and nacelles.

Awesome! Fascinating that the old photo “UNITED” seems to have the same font as the “UNITED” slapped on the Continental jets these days.
