Landed my first CFI position today!

Seperated from the military back in February and finally got a job.

Just thought I'd share the good news. :beer:

And the ones that seem like really good pilots are just trying to lull you into a sense of security...

You'll hear the stall warning horn in all kinds of interesting places you're not used to...like turning final...or crosswind...or during engine failure procedures...

Thanks! Both foreign and natives. Cessna's for the most part. 152s/172s/182 and the school has a Seneca and Geronimo that's down right now, but I still have to get my MEI before I'll be sitting right seat in those. I'll be instructing at United Flight Systems out of DWH.

Great operation. The owner, instructors, and both chief and assitant chief flight instructors are really nice people.

Thanks Roger. It really feels good to finally have a job. I'll be starting in the next couple of days. Have some paperwork and stuff to get done. I'm extremely fortunate because the school is saturated with instructors at the moment, but I guess my charm paid off! :laff::sarcasm:

This is what I got out of the military to do. So I'm going to try my best to have fun with it. Whenever I'm poking my eyes out from steep turns and stalls, I have to remember I could be back in Iraq (and remember that I'm lucky just to have a job right now in the aviation industry).

Congrats man!!! Glad you could get something there at UFS. Now you are just going to have to move closer to Hooks..
