FFD contracts

Ain't nobody got time for that
does anyone have access to any current or old/expired FFD contracts between a regional and its mainline partners?
 
Ya I think the people that have access to it other than the management teams are required to sign non-disclosure agreements. Maybe @ATN_Pilot or one of the other guys that are well versed in the union stuff can elaborate.

Bingo. Viewed as "trade secrets".. And to make your mission impossible, they remain under nda disclosure for a certain amount of time. Normally the length of the next CPA/Service agreement to make your knowledge null and void, aka pointless.


The industry changes too much and too fast to keep up, legally. It's a fun time to read an nda... You understand every 5th word to say "cannot speak or disseminate of..."
 
Being all up in union at my carrier and well versed on our negotiations, I can tell you that the MEC and the Neg committee have asked for the JSA (jet service agreement) with our mainline partner several times even agreeing to signing NDA's and we were told every time to pound sand. They are extremely secretive about it.

In their defense (I know, I feel dirty for saying it too), if not legally compelled to disclose, why would you. Basically you can claim anything you want in the name of "well, based on our JSA, we can't do xyz...". It would also open them up to massive criticism on how they negotiate their contracts both from the pilots, and other carriers. Maybe my company was able to negotiate getting paid for canceled flights and regional B owes the mainline when flights are canceled. I'm sure they would love to know that.

It sucks but a lot of things about this industry(and almost all others) aren't fair. Keep plugging away, networking and flying safe. Control the things you can control.

Not necessarily.

ALPA has a staff of economic and financial analysts that can digest the SEC filings and see what is going on with the books and financial state with the companies.

I've been in negotiations where the company uses ALPA's costing.
