Awesome pictures! Would have been a little cooler if they were taken from the Cub. Not necessarily at that altitude though. :)

Playing with my gift from Santa, Sony NEX 5N - still learning how to get the best shots in various conditions. The auto/intelligent mode works decently though. I fiddled with these in Photoshop, and probably deteriorated the image quality since I'm still learning that as well. It's easy to over-tweak them.

Trying the auto-HDR mode, it shoots a few shots at various exposure settings and compiles them - seems to work fairly well, although outside is still a bit washed out and bright.

Nice pics! You like flying the ERJ?

Quick question - what are the functions of the VIDEO, GRAPHIC, ATC and FM buttons on the top of the FMS?

Thanks! Yeah I'm really enjoying it.

I've wondered the same about the buttons - I haven't ever seen anyone use them, but I'm still relatively new, I'll ask next time I fly.

Thanks Smack, it's a Sony NEX 5N with the stock 18-55mm lense. Really liking it so far. I haven't experienced the clicking noise issue during HD video recording - many people have complained about that and I think that's what lowers some of its ratings online. Sony did come out with a fix for it though. Maybe mine is a later production run. Sony NEX 5N Review

They don't do anything for us, I think when you press they say something along the lines of "function not available".

Nice shots! I've got lots of time in them thar airplanes. Even the XRs are looking pretty tired. You could actually read the buttons when I flew them lol.

Interesting that the ERJ trim switch is angled like that. The Hawker is straight up and down. Wonder which one is more ergonomic.
