Ferry Flight - PC12 - South Africa to New Jersey

What was your route? Did you overnight in Central Africa? I am doing the opposite route soon in a King Air and am curious the best stop between Spain and DRC.

We overnighted in Lagos, Nigeria. Stay away from the Blue Lodge Hotel there. It is the hotel with the most extreme difference between how its presented online to how it is in real life that I have ever seen. Expect to pay close to $350 per night for a normal hotel. The Blue Lodge was $264 and makes the dingiest HoJo seem like the Plaza Hotel in Manhatten!

Also, many places dont take credit cards. Bring Cash and make sure that the 100's are newer than 2006 otherwise they wont accept them!
 
Did you guys slap a N471SS number on this Pilatus? There's one that has been in KSAC for a couple weeks now that I know came from South Africa.

I was reading the quote about slapping 471SS on the plane. Thought maybe 471SS has significance with moving an aircraft overseas, or something. Wasn't sure. But I think I've got it now. 1SS is the new owner's tail number, vice flying it out with the old tail number... Something like that?
