Fedex jumpseat dress code

I'm not really adding to the value of the thread by posting this, but if in doubt, it is always better to overdress than underdress.

I agree. Nothing says 'glad to be here' better than white socks, black shoes, grey slacks, and a wool waffle pattern jacket with a square bottom tie a la 1980's Jepp vids. Now that's tight! :crazy: I know, not any help at all, sorry. I

The one time I jumpseated on FedEx, there were several jumpseaters on each flight. Only the operating crew and myself were in uniform. Everyone else wore jeans.

I take it you probably think of a suit when referring to "dressed up." I don't think someone would question anyone for dressing as business casual. Just my thought.

You wouldn't get harassed or questioned, really, regardless. There is a good chance that someone would let you know that jeans are fine, though.

It's just business casual. Don't look like a slob.

I took them out to Vegas for the ALPA BOD in a suit, and nobody gave me any grief. Personally, I wouldn't feel comfortable jumpseating in a pair of jeans, but then again, I'm one of those guys that still throws on a blazer when I non-rev. As long as you follow the listed dress code at least, you should be fine.

FedEx has allowed offline jumpseaters for a couple of years now. UPS, ABX, and Astar also.

If they say something's okay, then it's okay.

This is kind of like the "can I log flight time if I do such and such." The answer is, if it says in the policy that you can do something, they you can do it.
