They seem to have a very fair approach in the last few external postings with regards to requirements. They don’t shut it down either a la UPS. For the opportunity, it seems some regionals post higher requirements.

Why is everyone keeping track of the post still being up… everybody here understands that outside of UPS companies keep their posts up for a certain amount of days (usually a week or so). Only UPS has it up until they receive a certain amount of applications, stop confusing FEDEX with UPS.

Southwest used to do it this way as well. They'd cut off after X number of applications were received, so sometimes a dispatcher job listing on their website would only be up for an hour or two...however they changed this a few years ago to a more typical system of keeping job lisitings up for several days.

I also think part of it is that Fedex has only hired externally once or twice recently. Since it was internal only for a very long time (years), nobody really knows how they like to do things.
 
Looks like it might have been taken down. I wish you could edit your application after you send it. I rushed and sent in my default resume for fear I wouldn't be able to get one in.
 
Didn’t this same thing happen last time they posted? It went down off the website then was reposted?

I think the next couple of days the HR will go with their initial screening of the applications before sending it to dispatch management so they will start going over the applications starting Monday the earliest before informing HR which people they decide to go with. Wouldn’t expect to hear anything until Monday after next at the earliest.
