There are so many great liveries, it rotates for me. These are the current hotness for me.

With thanks to those that sit for lord knows how long to get the shots.....

See, for me, if your going to go down the Lockheed Constellation route, there is only one plane to consider. The L1049G, aka Super Connie, is the best of the bunch. Something about the tip tanks just makes it look amazing.

super connie is a bad arse plane, its just he tip tanks remind me of a bonanza for some reason,

While the L-1011 is my all time favorite airplane, I've always had a soft spot for the raw speed, power and noise of a Convair 880 in Delta's two older liveries.

These two are my favorite, I got to fly on Swiss Airlines' special livery for the European cup a few summers back when it took place in Switzerland.

I believe it was primer, with two color stripes. Cheaper and lighter. At least that is my guess.
Certainly a weird color choice, but oddly enough I actually really like it. Must be a nostalgia thing since my first plane ride was on a 737-200 in those colors.

And the newer Northwest livery always made me chuckle. Guess no one in management there is very familiar with rap music.

aaahaha so true. Every time I see an NWA plane, "straight outta compton" starts going through my head.

Semi-off topic, but .....

Why paint?

Best looking aircraft were stainless steel....

function over form and all that.

plus, "some airline" is saving $$ removing olives from the salads...paint weighs more than olives.

I like my aircraft like I like my women. No makeup.

Funny to hear SWA referred to with "nostalgia". I still think of it as a new comer. :D
