Favorite Layovers

SAV Go have lunch at Mrs. Wilkes. Some of the best old Southern food and very good fried chicken. Written up many times in many food magazines.

SFO.. rent a bike from Blazing Saddles and ride over the bridge to Sausalito or rent a car and go up to the wine country. Mustard's Grill one of the best.

SEA.. run along the harbor and then suck down some good beers at McCormicks or a few other brew pubs

Portland ME.. great little city to run in and some excellent brewpubs

SAN.. good food and great city to run in. Air museum very interesting

BOS.. great city and running by the Charles is always good

CHS.. good food and a huge art community with museums full of everything from crap to incredible
 
MZJ: Be home, and watch weird stuff going on at a "former" CIA facility.

IGM: Wander around the east side of the airfield and find old B-17/B-24 scraps in the desert from its boneyard days.

HII: jetskiing on the river, and cove-sitting, esp during spring break.

TNX: watch nothing going on on the ramp.

ABQ: Stop at ABQ for some good BBQ.

........and other weird, out of the way places I like to overnight at.
