Favorite aviation (moves) movies???

Probably The Right Stuff because my dad worked for Chuck Yeager in the 60s, and I was accustomed to hearing since booms over our house.

Wait a minute. I misread the thread title. "Aviation MOVES"? Hmm. Let's see.

I like wearing my monkey suit to the bar, and making sure all the chicks know I'm a pilot. Either that, or yelling at the line guys when they don't get the GPU hooked up right away.

What was that made for tv movie about United 232? I think it was called "a thousand heroes" or something like that. I remember that it was pretty decent, but I did watch it like 20 years ago, so I can't say for sure.

Watched 1927's "Wings" this morning. Very cool. Silent movie set in WWI with some really neat vintage flying scenes!

What about Howard Hughes' Hell's Angels? I've wanted to see it since The Aviator, but it never seems to happen. Is it worth seeing?

Has anyone seen the PBS series "Chasing the Sun"? I have a really poor quality TV to VHS recording. It was a 4 part series documenting the evolution of Air Travel. Good stuff.

There was a German movie (in English) about the Red Baron that came out a couple years ago I thought was pretty good.

Some of my favorites:
The Great Waldo Pepper
Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines (You just sang that didn't you!)
Memphis Belle
Top Gun... rag on it all you want, you watch it every time it's on don't you.
Wings, the movie, the sitcom and the discovery channel show ;)
Apollo 13, also the HBO Series "From the Earth to the Moon" is excellent!
The High and the Mighty
Strategic Air Command
By Dawn's Early Light
Airplane! and Airplane 2: The Sequel!

I always liked "The Final Countdown", where the Nimitz goes back in time right before the attack on Pearl. Tomcat vs Zero.....heck yeah!

I couldn't remember the name of that movie for the longest time. Great movie.
