Favorite Aviation Books?

MikeD and I were discussing, via pm, books, authors and such. I really loved The Electra Story by Robert Serling (Rod's brother). Anyway, MJG would also chime in - it is a really entertaining book about how Lockheed examined and fixed the in-flight breakups of the L-188. Tony LeVier was a complete badass.

Amazing book. I was disappointed when I finished it because that was it, there was no more left.
That's how you know a book/movie/tv series is good (LotR, Harry Potter, Firefly).

hmm... my bookshelf is going to be getting full with all these great reads.

excellent idea for a thread.

I liked Basher 5-2. Its about a downed pilot during the Bosnia conflict. I believe "Behind Enemy Lines" was made from this book. It is a very very easy read and I was able to really get into the book, and I cant stand most books.
