fast track programs

Heard on the news today that Delta is shutting down its DFW hub(also a hub for ASA) Any thoughts on the effect this will have on ASA fast track. Also read about two months ago that American's pilot union renegotiated the scope clause limiting the use of the regional jet. Does anyone think that could be the hold up of the American Eagle fast track program. Any input would be appreciated!!

P S: Hope everyone and everything is ok since Frances. I saw some footage on the news of a trailer park in Vero Beach, and it was ripped to shreads.
 
They are calling everyone on the wait list for interviews in the next with ASA, American Eagle and ExpressJet. FlightSafety has also opened up the program to non-FlightSafety graduates. Looks like there are many great opportunities coming up for people that have been waiting.
 
Are you saying that American Eagle is now going forward at FSA? Last time I hear was that they are "negotiating" with FSA. What ever that means. What is going on with ExpressJet? Didn't hear anything about them. As for ASA, the pilots told me that they are still hiring and will get more airplanes next year so more pilots needed. No layoffs for pilots or F/A at ASA.
 
This is just unqualified information that I haven't had a chance to verify or even look into, but ASA is still going to experience net growth even after the DFW hub closure. Mostly thru consolidating OPS in ATL and opening a CL-700 base in SLC. But don't quote me on that.
 
American Eagle and FlightSafety finished negotiating on a seperate issue than the direct track and officially gave the ok to start the direct track program.
I think ExpressJet had been planning on visiting for awhile and as soon as they did they wanted to start a program right away.
From what we've been told, Even with ASA shutting down DFW and opening up SLC, they are planning on expanding ATL and hiring more. They are planning on losing a bunch of people that were based in DFW who do not want to move to ATL or SLC.
 
I recieved an e-mail from flightsafety and that stated that all the programs are up and running (AE, ASA and Expressjet). Now if you have the money to do them thats a different story. If you're interested, pilots from the outside with a multi commercial the program will cost you- $ 27,800 without living expenses or books. If you only have a commercial single then the program will run you $ 34,000 without living expenses and books...

How do you people even pay for these programs after what you've paid for all your training to get there.. crazy /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
 
There is nothing like getting a job bringing home $1,600 a month as a regional pilot (if you are lucky) and having to pay $600 a month for your loans.
