Famous Aviators.....

I am not sure if you guys know about some of the work I do behind the scenes - as a side business I go out and locate people's phone numbers, most of my clients revolve around business, however some of the other stuff I have done is got demo CDs in front of Dr. Dre, got my wife to meet Cesar Milan, when Susan Boyle got the movie offer that was me who found the information for the producer (here is the story - http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/tv/article2386678.ece), etc.

When Doug mentioned he wanted to invite Al Haynes to NJC - I went out and found Al Haynes' phone number. People have requested Sully and Jeff be invited to this years NJC - both of their numbers are in the admin section waiting for Doug to call.

Knowing both of them likely are busy and have large price tags - what other famous aviators would you guys be interested in. I know Chuck Yeager is pretty easy to contact, but who else?

Probably the best conversation with a famous aviator I've ever had was with Al Ueltschi. The developer of Flight Safety and personal pilot to Mr. Juan Trippe.

He had many many stories about Trippe and Howard Hughes and what made him want to start Flight Safety. I could have listened to him for hours.

Thats one idea.

I met John Glenn when I was in NROTC; really down to earth guy, and every bit of the gentleman you would presume him to be.

If he is still alive, Bryce McCormick.

He piloted a DC-10 that had the cargo door blow out and sever the hydraulic lines. He was able to land the plane without a single fatality.

Good story too, about how he prepared for such a problem, not quite the same, but similar in a simulator.
