Im still working on it. I know a guy who knows his boss. I can't get a hold of him to get a hold of the boss.

Ill do my best and keep people posted.

Damnit, this is horrible.

Ben was a really friendly guy and a positive contributor to these forums. I had the pleasure of meeting and having dinner with him at NJC a few years back. He was super friendly and had a great sense of humor. What a shame this is. I feel terrible for him and his family. Rest in peace, my friend.

I'm not sure why this bothers me but it does. RIP.

what bothers me is how things are so unpredictable in aviation. If I were to place a bet on Hudson river landing, I would have given it at least 50% death toll, but in case of an engine failure of a single engine airplane so close to the runway I probably wouldn't even consider it as dangerous.

I know airplanes are fragile, but I keep looking at the pics thinking the plane didn't look that bad???? I can't sleep.....

Unfortunately, as much as we don't like to admit it luck plays a big role into it. It just sucks that some people get the short end of the stick, when they don't deserve it.

:yeahthat: I'm sure that eats at everyone a little bit. Sometimes it seems all the training in the world can't save your ass, and then fate takes over. Before I was born I lost an uncle in an accident where the wing assembly buckled and the wing folded over on his brand new 172 sending him and his instructor crashing to earth. Stuff like that...you can just hope it never happens to you or anyone you know, but it still can.

Once again RIP Ben and from reading your previous posts you were a great person in my book. I am going through the same situation with my family at home and now with the JC family. Even though people have their differences no matter what subject in life, it brings people together no matter what their views are in life. Ben shall forever RIP and we shall forever miss him. Things like this bring people together no matter race or religion.

Can't sleep. Such a sucky deal. Look at those pictures, I just don't get it.

Looks can be deceiving. With an accident like this, liklihood.....from a crash dynamics perspective.....is great for a high amount of sudden decelerative forces and loss of occupiable space. Neither of which the human body can sustain much of.
