DURRRR, I just remembered that I literally speak to a former Boeing test pilot every day, lemme see if he’s got anything he’d like to share.

I don’t know if it’s still this way, however when I was on a GIV in 2006-2009 the first memory item of an engine failure above V1 was “Maintain directional control”.

Just got a new type last week. Engine failure above V1 memory item 1. Takeoff.

Not that long ago I think Republic declared an emergency coming out of Atlanta for something like this. To which some helpful pilot called over frequency “Did you run the checklist?” To which came the reply “No, we were too busy trying not to die” (paraphrased)
