Facebook Connect Beta Testing (Epic Fail, Nevermind!)

Re: Facebook Connect Beta Testing

JESUS, this thing is adding every single reply in here to my notifications in facebook. That might be cool for somebody that posts once and comes back a week later, but I live on this freakin' website! I don't need updates :)

I am guessing you have selected the first option and this is why it's doing that:

<input class="inputradio" onclick="return EditAppSettings.setAllowPublish(1, false);" id="edit_app_settings_allow_publish_new_policy" name="allow_publish" value="" type="radio"><label for="edit_app_settings_allow_publish_new_policy" id="label_edit_app_settings_allow_publish_new_policy">Allow login@jetcareers to publish one-line stories automatically, but prompt me for larger stories.</label>
<input class="inputradio" checked="checked" onclick="return EditAppSettings.setAllowPublish(3, false);" id="edit_app_settings_allow_publish_ask_radio" name="allow_publish" value="" type="radio"><label for="edit_app_settings_allow_publish_ask_radio" id="label_edit_app_settings_allow_publish_ask_radio">Prompt me before publishing any stories from login@jetcareers.</label>
<input class="inputradio" onclick="return EditAppSettings.setAllowPublish(2, false);" id="edit_app_settings_allow_publish_never_radio" name="allow_publish" value="" type="radio"><label for="edit_app_settings_allow_publish_never_radio" id="label_edit_app_settings_allow_publish_never_radio">Never publish any stories from login@jetcareers.</label>
<input class="inputradio" onclick="$('edit_app_settings_allow_publish_small_radio').checked = true;return EditAppSettings.setAllowPublish(4, true);" id="edit_app_settings_allow_publish_radio" name="allow_publish" value="" type="radio"><label for="edit_app_settings_allow_publish_radio" id="label_edit_app_settings_allow_publish_radio">Allow login@jetcareers to publish specific story sizes automatically without prompting.</label>

Re: Facebook Connect Beta Testing

Naw I told it to never publish. Publishing and notifications from this forum are two seperate things going on.

Where is it publishing to? This is a weird thing. I have the JC page pulled up "within" FB. It's like a crazy Matrix thing or something. Not sure if I like that or not.

edit: I see what you mean about the notifications. That is kinda annoying, although I usually ignore them anyway.

Re: Facebook Connect Beta Testing

I must be slow today.

  • I logged out, and logged in through Facebook connect. It created a whole new profile for me.
  • Then I went to Facebook and the application, and was surfing Jetcareers in Facebook.
What is supposed to happen?

Re: Facebook Connect Beta Testing

It'll publish to your newsfeed in Facebook. Or in other words, whatever you post on here will be linked to on Facebook in your news feed.

Re: Facebook Connect Beta Testing

Yeah, you know, on second thought, this might have been the quickest beta test of all time. I'll let some comments run for a few more hours and probably take it down.

If traffic is light this evening and we've already got 25 WTF's?! it's going to be molten hell by 10am! ;)

Re: Facebook Connect Beta Testing

Doug, it worked for me. I actually registered through the Facebook utility as "Daniel." So, you can go and delete that account because I don't need it. I was just testing out the new utility. Thanks.

Yeah, not sure how useful it really is except for maybe the PM function, but with that going to my e-mail, the other functions with FB aren't so keen.

Just my .02 :)

Re: Facebook Connect Beta Testing

Way too early for that plugin and after playing a little Korn on Guitar Hero on hard and axed it!

You might have to logout and log back in so the correct template shows.
