Fabulous Fulcrums! (MiG-29\'s)

Was going to post this in "Military" but thought it interesting enough to deserve wider attention.

I stumbled across this pretty cool website of a (since disbanded I think) German MiG-29 squadron - Fabulous Fulcrums. Although all the info is open source and they flew an older type, I was pleasantly surprised at the detail they go into - weapons descriptions, cockpit photos, walkaround, etc.

Definitely check out the video section. Even if you're not a fighter aircraft buff like me, the "night IMC approach and landing" and the "formation takeoff into IMC." videos should be of interest to anyone training for their instrument rating. Those approach lights sure are purdy coming out of the clouds.

Also, LOTS of cool pics since it seems they were used as an "agressor" squadron for countries wanting to go up against the Fulcrum (any stories MikeD?

Ex. Israeli F-15 & German MiG-29 (two WWII "enemies" flying the planes of two cold-war enemies. I've gone cross-eyed)

Do you mean the word he used is gay or the aircraft? I'm not for the commies but their aircraft are awesome. The SU-37 looks deadly.

Cuz you're a pitcher, maybe? (Funny story: I was up in Washington State last month visiting some friends and their neighbor's high-school-aged son had on a sleeveless A&F t-shirt that said "LOOKING FOR A PITCHER" on the back. I told him he'd do well to never wear that shirt anywhere in California, then explained the whole pitchers and catchers thing to him. He promptly went inside and changed his shirt.

Yes I'm a "pitcher." Or as Doug likes to say the "bull not the cow."
Wow aloft that is a funny story. A friend of mine who is totally straight and fits the all american jockboy stereotype. Bought a shirt form the mall last summer that said "bottoms up."
He thought it was a kool drinking shirt.

Incidently for the uninitiated. Abercrombie,GAP,Guess,Express,American Eagle,Aeropostale,Banana Republic just to name a few.
Are considered "gay" stores because they cater greatly to that niche market. As we gays are a rather large revenue generator.I almost shop exclusively at those stores.

Actually HT is a nice store. Every once ina while they have gear I dig!
