FAA send cert. for IR

If you just passed a rateing ride and have a temporary airmens certificate you will receive a new plastic certificate.

I have my Private certificate of which was sent after passing that ride. Will they send my a new one stating the IR? I can't find my Private certificate (the white one from the FAA, not the temp. yellow medical) and need to get another medical. Can I use my original yellow temporay/medical certificate for the medical? thanks
 
I think you need your original white (grey? it's been a while) cert for the checkride. You can get a duplicate from the FAA, just not sure how much it is.

And yeah, you'll get the shiny new credit card style when you pass the IR.
