Ever wonder what kinds of things pilots file NASA reports for? Below is a link to the FAA National Aviation Saftey Data Center (NASDAC).
I read one where a B727 took off from Sandford Fla in 2001 and realized he was 10000# short of fuel after reaching 12000 ft. The reports give the cause and correction taken, makes for interesting reading. It's all public information, so read and learn.
