FAA Hiring ATC....

Happy Hump day everyone!

I was in the ATC collegiate program took the test and everything, but like many other at-sat graduates we are waiting to get a feedback.

WELP! received a email from my school stating that the FAA is now hiring for ATC positions to any one who qualifies. Thus, according to the email they are hiring non military experience individuals, non at-sat graduates and pretty much hiring off the streets. Email stated those who graduated from the at sat program will have to re-apply for any air traffic controller position and take the test over. ( Totally a waste of time, studying and 30K) .

Leads me to my conclusion, are there anybody in here that may want to cross over to ATC? if so check out usajobs to apply.

Also saw the FAA is hiring for a dispatch inspector in Orlando. Of course, it requires experience...but there is no age limit. If anyone is interested, here is the link:

I got an email about this announcement that this was coming about a week ago from the VA. In this email, they said that they were very interested in hiring as many ex-military folks for ATC. I guess the VA has some sort of agreement to get early notice when these types of announcements are going to be made. I would love to give ATC a shot but I am 8 years too old and my guess is if you really wanted to get in on this, you need to start far sooner than 31.

Ya I am an AT-CTI grad as well...I reapplied since I was on 2 previous panels before the sequestration. That sounds ridiculous to retake the ATSAT. Who knows if I would even get a shot tho since the application had alot of military and veteran questions that I had to check no.
