Just had a phone interview. Have to pay $2,800 for training then you get to banner tow solo for $16 an hour. Anybody have any experience with this company?

PM me if you want information about the local banner tow operators. FWIW, I had about an hour in Pawnee's before I started towing gliders - $3 large see kinda steep up front. I don't know the specific operator you are talking about, what field are they based at?

I personally don't think it is a good idea to pay for banner tow training, but then again, I wouldn't want to work anyplace that insisted I buy something from them first.

As for towing solo, pretty much always solo. You generally need as much power as possible, and most towplanes are single place anyway.

Florida aerial advertising. Thelittlefaa.com apparently they fly out of at Petersburg to a little strip 20 mins sw then load up the banners. It's one man operation and your in charge of maintaining the plane. He said you get your a&p out of the deal. One year contract.

I know of the guy. Let me put it this way - there are other banner tow operations around St Petersburg.
